Self Care and Systems Change

Many people are acutely aware of problems within their workplace, or broader systems. It’s common to feel like the system is broken. System change is possible, but it often creates a drain on individuals that can lead to burnout, threaten sustainability of programs, and even result in leaving professions all together. This talk explores relationship between systems change work and self-care. It covers factors that contribute to burnout in systems changers, as well as practices that can enhance wellbeing and contribute to the sustainability of mental health promotion programs.

This topic is also available in workshop form for both groups and one-on-one mentorship.
